A Festival was re-instated in 1997 and has gone from strength to strength.

In 2004 a piece of land was gifted to us in order that a centre for the community could be built, members of the old committee agreed to form a new company to oversee the entire new project and thus Ahakista Community Association Ltd. was born.

At the moment we are working hard to realise our dream of an eco-friendly building that will serve both the local community and people from further afield in many different spheres.

We are ideally placed overlooking Kitchen Cove in Dunmanus Bay, a truly beautiful spot, which we are sure will make the visitor to our location want to linger and enjoy what we have to offer in the way of land and water-based activities when we are up-and-running.

So watch this space to keep up with our progress, we are also donating a % of festival profits to the Bantry Hospice Project.
